My bio.
Dare I write my own bio. By me.

I was born, March 29th, 1980, to Cynthia and Scott Peter within the confines of a hospital located in Tustin (or the city of Orange, depending on my mood), California. My father had enlisted as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps and so, from the moment I was born, we travelled, travelled, travelled - living sometimes as far away as Japan for years on end. Seventeen times we had relocated by the time I had graduated high school. Out of necessity I learned real quick how to make new friends, but also tended to hole up in my own imagination. I was a very quiet kid.
In 1987 we finally settled in Colorado after having lived in Japan and parts of California. My parents went their separate ways in 1992 and I'd jump from house to house, switching off between my mother and father. It was during this time that, after much begging, my father purchased a Panasonic VHS-C video camera for me and my plight to make movies begun at a very ripe age.
It was through my mother that I was introduced to the arts, though not forcefully - rather just in the way she would paint or design furniture from time to time in my presence. Conversely, my father the Marine pushed the envelope for persistance and goals, and through him I came to desire control over things - the control over storytelling (the director's ego, so to speak).
My college years were defined by my first successful short film, entitled, "Sex, Drugs & Natalie Portman". While still quite miniscule in the grand scheme of working to become a film director, "SDNP" opened up quite a few doors and introduced me to many people who would become close friends, roommates, and co-workers. Unexpectedly, the little film that could had also spread to actress Natalie Portman herself within mere hours of the film's release, all before the existence of youtube.
Fast forward to now: 2008, I'm in the middle of directing my first feature film, entitled "Apocalypse, CA". The movie should be wrapped up sometime before the end of the year, likely around August or September. look for it at your local video store at the beginning of 2009.
Thank you very much for taking the time to support my childish dreams of living to create art. --Chad P.
